In His Eyes Anthology

Now this post varies from the stuff I usually write, not least because I've never read a romantic novel by choice (typical guy stereotype) but it's something which I believe female readers in particular may find interesting. So girls read on and guys, well have you got to lose?

Just in time for Valentine's Day, from the talented ladies of The Indelibles (some of them awarding winning novelists and others debut authors) comes a one-of-a-kind anthology entitled In His Eyes. Sixteen original short stories, all from the point of view of male characters, some from the original novels and others created especially.


The anthology includes stories such as; Surprise, Surprise (Stacey Wallace Benefiel, author of Glimpse), First Kiss or First Kill (C.K. Bryant, Bound), Precalculus (Cory Putman Oakes, The Veil), Shattered (Ali Cross, Become), Before (Jessie Harrell, Destined), The Qualm Before The Storm (Karen Amanda Hooper, Tangled Tides), Unspeakable (S,R, Johannes, Untraceable), In The Beginning (Karen Klein, Cross My Heart), A Chance Encounter (Cheri Lasota, Artemis Rising), Family Bounds (Heather McCorkle, The Secret of Spruce Knoli), Getting Closer (Lisa Nowak, Running Wide Open), The Almost Assassin (Laura Pauling, A Spy Like Me), Mind Games (Susan Kaye Quinn, Open Minds), By The Firelight (Ellie Strauss, Clockwise), A Very Alien Valentine's Day (Megan Vernon, How To Date An Alien) and Aligned (RaShelle Workman, Exiled).


In one of my earlier posts I wrote about The Veil, a YA book I had enjoyed; the first time I read the chapter Precalculus written from the protagonist Addy's POV, I was intrigued and wanted to know what happened next. I always thought Luc was kinda cool and am enjoying reading Precalculus version 2 in In His Eyes which is written from his perspective. Gotta give props to Cory for writing it so well!


So even though the above cover reveal is written from a guy's view who, like any other guy tends not to talk much about the mushy lovey dovey stuff, I can still see the anthology doing well. For any girl, it'd make a great Valentine's Day gift!
